Iran All Set to Export Crude, LNG to Poland

TEHRAN (NIOC) _ Iran has expressed its readiness to put up for sale crude oil to Poland.

During a meeting with the visiting Polish Deputy Prime Minister, Janusz PiechociƄski in Tehran, Iranian Oil Minister, Bijan Zangeneh said the first step for a new round of relations between Iran and Poland is signing contracts for buying crude oil from Iran.
"Poland has announced readiness to cooperate with Iran in different energy sectors and since Polish refineries have been modernized, they can use Iranian crude oil," Iranian Oil Minister said.
Stating that “Iran has suggested Poland to purchase crude oil in the first step”, Zangeneh added that LNG is also on agenda of negotiations with the Polish officials. Terminals have been built in Poland for imports of LNG and Iran would export LNG to Poland.
Once the projects are completed, Iran would go ahead with LNG exports to Poland, he noted.
A high-level Polish delegation, including pharmaceutical, chemical and railway executives is in Tehran to discuss post-sanctions trade opportunities.
Poland’s economy minister is leading the group of some 60 businesses, including railway transport firms, Newag and Pesa.
